The Joint Association of Port Transport Unions (JAPTU), Ghana, has expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the eight victims who died in the helicopter crash.

The association noted that it stands in solidarity with the families and the entire nation as they mourn the gallant heroes who died in the line of national duty.

In a statement signed by Alhaji Shamsu Babayaro, the National Chairman of JAPTU Ghana, the group wished the departed souls a peaceful rest in the bosom of the Almighty God.

“JAPTU Ghana is deeply shaken and profoundly saddened by the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight gallant and distinguished Ghanaians. This very painful loss has draped our beloved nation in mourning, and our hearts ache alongside the bereaved families, friends, and every citizen touched by this sorrow. JAPTU Ghana stands in unwavering solidarity with the families of the deceased during this time of unspeakable pain.

“While no words can erase such heartbreak, we trust that the collective embrace of the Ghanaian people, our prayers, and our shared resilience will help carry us through the days ahead. Though their voices are now silent, their devotion to Mother Ghana speaks louder now than ever. JAPTU Ghana honours the memory of these heroes, whose service to Mother Ghana will forever be etched in our nation’s hearts and minds. May their souls rest in eternal peace, and may their legacies inspire future generations to serve our beloved Mother Ghana with even greater devotion,” portions of the statement read.
