Ghanaian rapper and songwriter Okyeame Kwame has revealed that his travel and tour company, OK World Travel and Tour, was affected by the fire outbreak at the Accra Tourist Information Centre (ATIC) on August 4, 2025.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, the musician is seen standing inside the burnt-out building, pointing to where his office once stood. The space, now completely destroyed, is no longer usable.
According to Okyeame Kwame, the company has moved its operations online and is now conducting business primarily through phone calls.
He used the video to thank clients who have supported OK World Travel and Tour over the years and assured them that, despite the destruction, operations will continue.

“I’m currently at the Accra Tourist Information Centre. This was the building that housed the OK World Travel and Tour office, right up there. That’s my office, and as you can see, I can’t work here anymore.
“So to all of you who have been doing business with OK World Travel and Tour, I want to say a very big thank you.
“And to those who prefer to see a physical office before doing business with us, well, this is our office now. But business is still ongoing. Even if we have to work from a car, from home, or on a laptop, we’ll continue bringing smiles to you and doing business with you,” he said.
The fire broke out in the early hours of August 4, 2025, around 12:30 AM. The Ghana National Fire Service responded swiftly and brought the situation under control. According to a statement from the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
