Ghanaian Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has been honoured by Burkina Faso’s military leader, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, after he recently launched a movie about the Statesman.

In a video shared on LilWin’s Instagram on August 5, 2025, he was seen receiving an honorary gesture from the ambassador of Burkina Faso to Ghana.

Taking to social media, LilWin expressed gratitude to the Burkinabe leader for recognising his effort, adding that Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s leadership has strengthened the spirit of Africans.

“I am humbled to have received this award from the president of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, through the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Ghana. I appreciate it; your support strengthened the spirit of African unity. Merci beaucoup, Burkina Faso! Que Dieu vous bénisse tous,” he said.

On August 2, 2025, LilWin premiered his much-anticipated movie titled Ibrahim Traoré.

The movie talks about how Captain Ibrahim Traoré became the leader of Burkina Faso following a coup on September 30, 2022.

It also talks about Traoré being a symbol of anti-imperialist sentiment and youth-driven reform in the country.
