Kumawood actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has extended an apology to veteran actor Agya Koo over recent comments he made that sparked controversy within the local movie industry.
In an exclusive interview with Papa Jay of Poleeno Multimedia, Lilwin admitted that his earlier remarks, which included jabs like “we don’t talk about old kings” and claims that Agya Koo was now only doing YouTube interviews and playing at funerals, were not meant to be taken seriously.
According to him, the statements were made purely for showbiz hype and to promote his upcoming movie centered on Burkina Faso’s president.
He went on to reveal that their public back-and-forth has actually helped Agya Koo, noting that the veteran actor’s social media engagement has shot up tremendously since the incident.
He further asked that Agya Koo should capitalize on this moment because it is the perfect time to drop a project or even shoot a new movie and noted that if the legendary actor wanted, he can invite him and he will gladly honour the invitation.
To further show there is no bad blood, Lilwin disclosed that he will be sending a personal invitation to Agya Koo for the premiere of his movie on August 2, 2025.
