Hearts of Oak have struck a deal to sign highly-rated goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi, with the club planning to conduct a medical next week ahead of the official announcement.

The deal was concluded on the evening of Thursday, July 31, 2025, after weeks of negotiations between the Phobians and Agbasi’s representatives.

The former Dreams FC shot-stopper has been a top priority for Hearts as they continue their squad overhaul under new head coach Didi Dramani.

Agbasi has been a free agent following his departure from Dreams FC at the end of the 2024/25 season. His performances, especially during Dreams’ historic CAF Confederation Cup campaign, drew attention from multiple clubs locally and abroad.

Hearts of Oak moved quickly to convince the goalkeeper to commit to their project.

A source close to the club has revealed that the agreement includes a competitive financial package and performance-based incentives, underlining how much Hearts value Agbasi’s experience and presence.

The club is expected to finalise the move after Agbasi passes his medical early next week.

Once completed, he will become Hearts of Oak’s new No.1 goalkeeper for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, tasked with anchoring the team’s backline under Dramani’s new vision.

This signing signals Hearts of Oak’s ambition to return to the summit of Ghanaian football after a turbulent 2024 campaign.
