Following Daddy Lumba’s demise, several nostalgic videos of the iconic musician have resurfaced online.

One interesting video captures Daddy Lumba’s performance at the 2000 Ghana Music Awards (GMAs), now known as the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).

His opened the show with his hit song “Anti Atta,” with Ofori Amponsah on stage.

Daddy Lumba, full of energy and charisma, captivated the audience, who couldn’t help but dance along.

The duo then transitioned smoothly into the popular “Woho Kyere,” with Lumba showcasing his signature dance moves that have since become iconic in Ghanaian music history.

On that same night, Daddy Lumba also took home some major honours, including Artiste of the Year, Best Album of the Year, and Most Popular Song of the Year.

Known for timeless hits such as “Aben Wo Ha,” “Sika Asem,” “Theresa,” “Anidaso,” and “Ohia Asomdwe,” the late Daddy Lumba remains an enduring figure in Ghana’s music legacy, even after his passing.
