A video of the late Daddy Lumba‘s teacher, Mama Acheampong, has gone viral on social media following his passing.

In the video making waves online on July 30, 2025, shared by DL FM, Mama Achampong, who couldn’t control her tears, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the late Highlife musician for acknowledging her in his songs.

While crying, Mama Acheampong also asked Daddy Lumba‘s wife, Serwaa Broni, to stay strong, adding that God knows best.

“Charles, thank you for making me popular. This is very sad and painful news. Akosua, stay strong, everything is going to be fine,” she said.

During her visit to Daddy Lumba’s residence to sign the book of condolence, she tearfully asked, “Charles, who would take care of the kids? I am now an old woman, so I won’t be able to take care of them. Kwadwo, I won’t be able to take care of them. Why did you leave us so soon?”

The late Daddy Lumba, known for his classic hits such as Aben Wo Ha, Sika Asem, Theresa, Anidaso, and Ohia Asomdwe, died on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after battling a brief illness.

    He died at age 60.
