In the heat of promoting his highly publicized movie centered on Burkina Faso’s President, Lilwin recently declared that in Kumawood, he stands unchallenged.

According to him, when it comes to acting prowess in the local movie scene, he has no competitor.

This claim, which made headlines across Ghanaian media, apparently didn’t sit well with veteran actor Agya Koo.

Taking to his official Facebook page, Agya Koo clapped back with a post that many have interpreted as a direct jab at Lilwin.

In the post, the legendary actor mocked Lilwin’s self-proclaimed title as king of the movie industry, suggesting that it must be a throne made of cardboard.

He stressed that true greatness is shown through action, not mere claims, and ended with: “I haven’t started anything yet oo… I need to come back like I never left. I was just warming up.”

The comment reignited public debate over who truly holds the crown in Kumawood, dividing fans between the old guard and the new wave.

As expected, Lilwin didn’t stay silent for long. During a round of interviews across various media platforms on Monday, July 28, 2025, Lilwin addressed the online jabs with his characteristic humor. Laughing off Agya Koo’s remarks, Lilwin subtly threw shade, stating that Agya Koo is no longer relevant in today’s acting space.

“We don’t use old kings for debate, Agya Koo is only doing podcasts and interviewing entertainers for his YouTube channel now,” Lilwin said.

But that wasn’t all. Lilwin went further to add that: “These days, Agya Koo is more of a bands man. Always playing at funerals with his musical group.
