The month of July 2025 has been a sad month for the creative arts industry in the United States and the world at large due to the passing of some gallant entertainers.

Five veteran American entertainers, ranging from the music, film, and performance sports industries, sadly succumbed to the cold hands of death.

This article will explore five Hollywood entertainers who have passed away in July.

    Connie Francis:

American pop singer and actress Connie Francis, who is known for hits such as “Pretty Little Baby” and “Who’s Sorry Now”, among others, died on July 22, 2025.

The news of the late musician who died at the age of 87 was announced by her publicist and friend, Ron Roberts, through a Facebook post.

“It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night. I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news,” Ron Robert noted in a post.

Before Francis’ death, she participated in a viral social media challenge of her “Pretty Little Baby” song with the caption “First time I’ve lip-synched to this 63-year-old recording of mine!”

    Chuck Mangione:

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, lovers of jazz music were hit by the news of the death of one of its veteran performers, Chuck Mangione.

The Grammy-winning jazz musician and composer died at the age of 84.

The demise of the musician was announced by his family in a statement released on Thursday to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

Mangione released more than 30 albums and sold millions of records. His 1977 album “Feels So Good” became one of the most successful jazz records ever produced, according to the Rochester Music Hall of Fame.

The musician has mounted numerous international stages, including the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid in 1980.

    Ozzy Osbourne:

Ozzy Osbourne, the hellraising frontman of “Black Sabbath” and reality TV star, also died on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

He passed on at the age of 76.

His death was announced by his family in a statement.

“It is with more sadness than mere words that we can convey the news that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, there are no details surrounding the cause of Ozzy’s death.

    Malcolm-Jamal Warner:

The late Malcolm-Jamal, known for his role as Theodore Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” passed on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

According to the police, the actor and artist died in a drowning accident in Costa Rica while swimming at Playa Grande near the town of Cahuita.

He passed on at the age of 54, around 2:30 PM, when a current pulled him deeper into the ocean.

Also on Tuesday, the Judicial Investigation Police said an autopsy of Warner disclosed the manner of his death as accidental and the case as “asphyxia by submersion” (drowning).

    Hulk Hogan

Professional wrestling legend Terry Bollea, better known to millions as Hulk Hogan, also died on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

He died at the age of 71, according to WWE.

Hogan, one of the most iconic figures in wrestling history, was instrumental in transforming World Wrestling Entertainment into a global powerhouse.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, his larger-than-life persona, both inside the ring and beyond, made him a household name and a pop culture phenomenon, starring in movies and appearing on television screens around the world.

According to TMZ Sports, emergency responders were called to Hogan’s home in Clearwater, Florida, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, for what was reported as a cardiac arrest.
