Professor Dr Grace Ayensu-Danquah, Member of Parliament for Essikado-Ketan, appears before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Friday, July 25, 2025, for vetting as Deputy Minister-designate for Health.

During the session, Professor Dr Ayensu-Danquah is expected to outline her priorities aimed at strengthening Ghana’s primary healthcare system, improving doctor-to-patient ratios, and enhancing maternal and child health services.

Professor Dr Ayensu-Danquah brings years of clinical and humanitarian experience to the role. She is a trained surgeon and global health advocate.

Her nomination forms part of President John Mahama’s final batch of deputy ministerial appointees, as he fulfills his pledge to maintain a lean but effective government.
