    Kwame Opoku is fired up to help Asante Kotoko deliver joy to their passionate fans with a big win over South African side Kaizer Chiefs in the 2025 Toyota Cup.

    The striker, known for his relentless work rate, says the team is focused and hungry for victory as they gear up for the much-anticipated clash this Saturday in Durban.

    “We all know we are Asante Kotoko and Asante Kotoko is one of the biggest clubs in Africa that is undoubtedly. So ahead of every game we try to do well we try to win every game for ourselves and to our supporters, so we want to win coming Saturday to make our supporters very happy,” Opoku told Asante Kotoko SC media.

    Kotoko arrived in Durban on Wednesday morning after departing Ghana the previous night. The team received a warm welcome from Kaizer Chiefs officials before checking in at Protea Hotel Fire and Ice.

    They held their first training session Thursday at the George Campbell School of Technology as preparations intensified for the showdown.
