Management and the Union of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have announced a nationwide revenue mobilisation campaign dubbed “Operation ALL MUST PAY”, aimed at clearing outstanding customer arrears.

The campaign will run from Monday, July 14, to Friday, July 25, 2025.

According to the General Manager of External Communications at ECG, Dr Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, the operation will cover all aspects of the supply chain.

“This campaign targets all customers, including residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors. Special teams will be deployed to ensure compliance, and we will closely monitor for any illegal connections or attempts to reconnect power,” Dr Ayiku said in a statement sighted by GhanaWeb on July 11, 2025.

The company said unpaid bills remain a major threat to its financial sustainability, and it is determined to enforce strict payment compliance.

Dr Ayiku emphasised the importance of timely payments to avoid disconnections and additional reconnection fees.

He also encouraged customers to use the official ECG Mobile App for secure payments and warned against scammers promoting fake payment platforms.

“The ALL MUST PAY campaign is crucial for strengthening ECG’s financial health and improving service delivery. It will help ensure a stable and reliable power supply across the country,” Dr Ayiku added.

Customers are advised to make payments only through approved methods, such as the ECG Mobile App, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, or by contacting ECG’s call centre for further assistance.

During the campaign period, ECG will also inspect meter integrity and engage with customers to resolve operational issues.

The company urged all customers with outstanding balances to take immediate action to avoid service disruptions.

“For more information, customers can visit ECG’s website or follow our official social media handles for regular updates,” the statement concluded.
