A refix of Ghanaian dancehall musician, Stonebwoy‘s “Overlord” was used to celebrate the newest Tottenham Hotspur signee, Mohammed Kudus.

On July 10, 2025, Tottenham Hotspur officially unveiled the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus in a 38-second video shared on their official X page.

In the video, Kudus opened with a statement expressing his long-time desire to play for the North London club.

Moments later, Stonebwoy‘s “Overlord” track plays, with altered lyrics tailored to highlight the details of Kudus’s transfer.

The refix praises the midfielder and expresses optimism about his success at the new club.

In the song, Stonebwoy also narrated Kudus’s journey, from playing in a small community in Ghana to becoming a professional footballer and now signing with Tottenham.

The video has quickly gained traction online, especially among Ghanaians who were thrilled to see one of their top music icons featured in a global football announcement.

Musician Quamina MP has also joined netizens in congratulating both Stonebwoy and Kudus for putting Ghana on the map.

Stonebwoy’s involvement in Kudus’s big moment came as no surprise, as the two have been fans of each other since Kudus’s time at Ajax.
