Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay has dropped a bombshell on what really tore apart his final days at the club, claiming two teammates betrayed him off the pitch in ways that cut deeper than any tackle on it.
In an interview with Pure FM, Blay alleged that Camara Mohammed, the Guinean goalkeeper, secretly snatched his girlfriend behind his back.
The fallout was so dramatic that it ended up involving the police after Blay confronted the woman over the betrayal.
But the shocks didn’t stop there.
Blay also claimed that striker Kwame OPoku turned around and snatched his ‘sugar mummy’, someone he described as a key supporter behind the scenes.
The messy relationships off the field contributed to tensions that once exploded into violence, including an incident where he assaulted a security man at Kotoko’s clubhouse in frustration.
“That’s where I even assaulted the security man at the club house because of the tension. I am clarifying this because it has been twisted,” he revealed.
After months of tension, Kotoko and Blay finally parted ways by mutual agreement at the end of the 2024/25 season, cutting short a contract that still had a year left.
