Award-winning highlife and afrobeat star Kuami Eugene has broken his silence on claims suggesting that his music career is on the decline, insisting that his legacy in the Ghanaian music industry is far from over.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the “Angela” hitmaker passionately debunked rumours that he was fading from public memory, stressing that the volume and impact of his music make him a mainstay in the industry.

“I sang Angela, Confusion, Wish Me Well, Kwani Kwani Remix, Obiaa To, Open Gate, No Dulling, Killing Me Softly, and many more,” Kuami Eugene listed. “So, it will take years for people to forget me.”

He went on to highlight how frequently his songs are played at events across the country — from weddings to parties — arguing that the emotional and cultural value of his music continues to resonate with Ghanaians.

“During weddings, they play several of my love hit songs for the couple and the bridal party to dance. There are several songs with my name on them — how can you forget me?” he added.

Kuami Eugene, who rose to fame after winning MTN Hitmaker Season 5, has consistently delivered hits that blend highlife rhythms with modern afrobeats, earning him a place among Ghana’s top music exports.

While social media critics have recently questioned his relevance amid rising competition in the music scene, the Lynx Entertainment signee remains confident that his catalogue of hits and active fan base will keep him in the spotlight for years to come.

Fans and fellow musicians have since rallied behind him, applauding his consistency and reminding critics of his contributions to modern Ghanaian music.
