Ghanaian personality, Kwabena Bediako Antwi-Dako popularly known as Wofa 1 has called on critics to refrain from tarnishing the late Dada KD’s reputation.
In an interview with GhanaWeb’s Isaac Dadzie on June 21, 2025, during the one-week observation of the highlife musician, Wofa 1 noted that recent social media controversies surrounding the musician’s death are unwarranted.
“There is a session for everything under the sun. But in Ghana when people are called to their marker, you will hear all sort things and controversies happening.
“When are we going to move away from these beliefs? This is a natural death and it is unfortunate we all didn’t expect such a thing to happen because he was a strong character, but only God knows,” he said.
Wofa 1 further called on Ghanaians to celebrate their legends while still alive.
According to him, it is high time Ghanaians stopped recognising the works of legends only after they have passed away.
“It is so painful because it was after his death that we got to know how people loved him. But one thing I will say is that continue to do whatever you are doing because God himself will reward you and people are also watching.
“In this country, we don’t normally celebrate our legends. We wait for something to happen to them before people come out to give out the good names. Death is inevitable because whatever you will do, you will die,” he added.
