Ghanaian rap sensation Kwesi Amewuga has opened up about the hard reality behind his rise to fame.

In an exclusive interview on the Uncut Show with blogger Zionfelix, the Western North-born rapper spoke in detail about his humble beginnings that eventually shaped him to become the artist he is today.

Born Bodjah Anthony Kwesi Amewuga, the rapper became a household name in the Sefwi enclave long before Accra ever heard his name.

According to him, he was already a celebrated figure in Sefwi’s music scene, having clinched multiple accolades at local award schemes.

Despite all the success he chalked locally, he wanted a national recognition for which reason he decided to move to Accra.

He revealed that his arrival in Accra was not too rosy but instead, he started off as a worker who was studio clearner at the studio of producer Cola Beats.

He added that as a cleaner, he got the opportunity to record songs for free, which was the catch and eventually he got to shoot some videos for himself which has gotten him to where he is again.
