Black Sherif has established that music goes beyond sex and fame Black Sherif has established that music goes beyond sex and fame

Ghanaian artiste Black Sherif has stated he avoids singing about women and sex because he has more important messages to share in his music.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the “Where Dem Boys” hitmaker said that his music is shaped by a desire to connect with people on a deeper level.

He explained that rather than chase short-term attention, he prefers to talk about real-life issues and messages that can leave a lasting impact.

According to him, songs should reflect the realities people go through, things like pain, sacrifices, and the journey toward achieving one’s dreams.

“I don’t write songs about women or sex because I have more important things to say. My goal is to connect with people through messages they can relate to–real-life struggles, sacrifices, dreams and victories. I believe that’s the kind of music that stands the test of time,” he asserted.

He added that he is very intentional about the kind of message he puts out in his music. According to him, every song should serve a purpose and not just be made to chase hype or fame.

“When I sit down to write, I’m deliberate about the messages I want to convey. I don’t compromise my artistic integrity for temporary fame. That’s what drives me to keep pushing the boundaries of my art and staying true to myself,” he added.
