Former Real Madrid player, Geremi Njitap, has filed for divorce after a DNA test revealed that he is not the father of the twins he raised.
Reports indicate that the ex-Cameroon footballer’s wife, Laure, supposedly had an intimate affair with her ex-husband while she was married to Geremi, which possibly resulted in the pregnancy.
Court documents seen indicate that the twins are actually the children of Laure’s ex-husband, not Geremi, as previously believed.
“No children have been born from this union [between Geremi and Laure]. But the discovery that the children were from her previous partner destroyed the couple’s harmony and caused him a huge emotional shock,” The Sun reported.
Geremi played 45 times in La Liga for Real Madrid before a loan spell at Middlesbrough brought him to England.
He was then signed by Chelsea after impressing for Cameroon in the Confederations Cup and went on to play 72 times for the Blues in the Premier League.
