A video capturing a troubling incident at the funeral of the late Mamponghene, Daasebre Nana Osei Bonsu II, has sparked public outrage.

The solemn ceremony, held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, brought together a high-profile crowd of royals, politicians, celebrities, and influential business moguls.

Cheddar, a notable businessman and presidential hopeful, also arrived in grand style with his entourage and tight security.

However, moments after his arrival, chaos briefly disrupted at the funeral.

A video that has gone viral shows one of Cheddar’s bodyguards physically assaulting an unarmed man who appeared to be attempting to follow the presidential candidate.

The security officer, without provocation, landed two forceful punches on the man’s chest, leaving him visibly shaken and in pain.

In response to the backlash and the reactions online, The New Force has publicly condemned the act in the strongest terms.

A statement signed by General Secretary Charles Yomekpe expressed deep regret over the assault, calling it “unjustifiable” and “entirely out of line with the values we hold.” The movement emphasized that the victim posed no threat and deserved to be treated with dignity and respect.

The statement also assured the public that an immediate investigation has been launched and that the individual responsible will face the appropriate consequences.

Cheddar and his team further thanked the public for holding them to high standards and committed to ensuring that such behavior will never be repeated.
