Nigerian Afropop sensation, Mayorkun, has arrived in Ghana to promote his latest album, and for other activities.

Speaking on Hitz FM during his media tour, he discussed the album, titled ‘Still the Mayor’, released on May 23, 2025.

He later spoke about some of his experiences so far since he touched down in the country.

“Most of the first things I have done since in the beginning of my career, most of them is from Ghana, I feel like my first major breakout of my song blew in Ghana and my biggest collaborations too and many other things too, this place feels like my second home,” he stated.

He added, “My favourite meal in Ghana is Waakye and favourite Ghanaian song is “Cheat On You” by KiDi featuring Gyakie. I think it’s a brave song. Although I have never cheated before because men don’t cheat.”

On Pent Hall Week, he said, “My expectations are all about energy, love. It’s been a while I went on a school tour and because of my album listening happening at Exhale Lounge 9pm, and the title of my album is “Still Mayor”. It has 12 songs on it.”

On recent rumours allegations that he and his friends used a lady for money rituals, he said he has never met the person before, adding the issue is still in court.
