The National Investment Bank (NIB), yesterday paid a visit to the Management of the New Times Corporation (NTC), publishers of the Ghanaian Times and the Spectator, to strengthen the relationship between the two organisations.

The visit was also to explore new areas of cooperation and deepen collaboration for mutual beneficial interest.

The NIB delegation comprised the Relationship Manager, Corporate and Development Banking Department, Mrs Esther Kumi and Mr Ignatius Dapaah as well as Mr Alhassan Abdul- Wahab, Relationship Manager.

The Managing Director of NTC, Mr Martin Adu-Owusu, expressed gratitude to the NIB for the financial assistance it had offered to NTC over the years.

Mr Owusu said that although NTC had a number of challenges, the lack of a printing machine to help in the printing of newspapers and a loan scheme for the staff of NTC remained the major challenge that it faced.

He, therefore, appealed to NIB to assist NTC in addressing its challenges, including the purchase of a printing machine to aid its publication process and the establishment of a loan scheme for its staff.

The Acting Editor of The Ghanaian Times, Alhaji Salifu Abdul-Rahaman, called for a stronger partnerships between the two organisations toward contributing to creating a vibrant economy, as well as growing a knowledgeable and well-informed society.

For her part, Mrs Kumi acknowledged the challenges of NTC, adding that the challenges of NTC would be considered in the proposal that would be presented to the management of NIB, going forward.

Present at the meeting were the Supervisor, Adverts, Sales, and Business Relations, NTC, Mrs Edzodzi Can-Tamakloe, the Acting Chief Accountant, Mr Eric Nkum Antwi; the Channel Marketing, and Circulation Manager, Mr Alfred Koomson; the Technical Service Manager, Mr John Lawson; the Human Resource and Administrative Manager, Mrs Agnes Nketia; and the Editor of the Spectator, Mrs Georgina Naa-Maku Quaittoo.
