Owner of Georgia hotel in Kumasi, Georgina Konadu Kusi, has spoken about the luxury vehicle she once drove in her youth.

Speaking at the official launch of Despite’s newly-opened auto museum on June 1, 2025, she stated that before her son attained his current level of success, she used to drive a sports Mercedes-Benz.

In a video that has gone viral on social media on June 3, 2025, she expressed joy and pride in Despite’s achievements, noting that he has accomplished far more than she did.

“I am so emotional. My son is a very wise person. Do you know why he likes me? I used to drive a sports Mercedes. I’m happy that he has been able to do more than I ever had,” she said.

Dressed in an all-white outfit, Georgina Konadu Kusi was visibly emotional as she praised her son for fulfilling his dream of becoming a wealthy and accomplished individual.

The launch of the ‘Despite Automobile Museum’ in East Legon, Accra, was a grand affair, attracting numerous dignitaries and high-profile personalities from across Ghana.

Notable attendees included the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, business mogul Ibrahim Mahama, NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and several entertainment figures such as Kwaku Manu, Efia Odo, and others.

The museum features a curated collection of vintage classics, modern supercars, and an interactive driving simulator that offers visitors a fully immersive experience.
