Ghanaian socialite, Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Reall, has made her return to social media and the music scene with a new single titled “We Move.”

Mona was deported back to Ghana recently after serving a year-long prison sentence in the United States.

Announcing her return to social media in grand style, she released her new song along with a music video on her social media platforms.

The video opens with scenes of her in a prison cell, symbolizing her arrest, and includes powerful lyrics like “If I fall, I go rise,” reflecting her resolve and personal journey through adversity.

Background Hajia4Reall’s legal troubles began in November 2022, when she was arrested in the UK and later extradited to the U.S. in May 2023. She pleaded guilty in February 2024 to one count of conspiring to receive stolen money, related to a series of romance scams that defrauded victims of over $2 million.

In June 2024, she was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. The court also ordered her to forfeit $216,475 and pay $1,387,458 in restitution.

Upon completing her sentence, Hajia4Reall’s legal team successfully negotiated a voluntary return to Ghana, avoiding further detention by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“We Move” is not just a song title, it’s a popular Ghanaian slang meaning “to carry on with life despite setbacks.”

For Hajia4Reall, it’s a message of personal growth and a bold declaration that her past will not define her future.

The release has since sparked massive discussions. While some fans have praised her resilience and openness, others question the message her return sends, given the nature of her past conviction.
