Rufftown Records CEO, Bullet and OgeeTheMC
Rufftown Records CEO and talent manager, Bullet has stated that OgeeTheMC played no official hypeman role in Ebony Reigns’ career.
Speaking in an interview with 3Music TV, Bullet explained that the first and only time OgeeTheMC worked with Ebony was during a one-time stage performance at an awards show.
“He called me and said he wanted to hype for Ebony on stage. It was the Golden Movie Award, and that was the first time Ogee told me he wanted to hype Ebony,” Bullet revealed.
Bullet said he agreed to give OgeeTheMC the opportunity, but after watching how he performed on stage, he was disappointed with his approach.
According to him, Ogee tried to take over the show and push himself into the spotlight instead of supporting Ebony.
“But after the show, I was like, no, this guy, never, because if you’re a hype man, you need to stand behind the artiste but Ogee was like the main front man and Ebony was behind him. And he messed up the show,” Bullet said.
He added that following that incident, he called OgeeTheMC to tell him never to attempt hyping for Ebony again.
“After that, I called Ogee, and I said, ‘Don’t ever try to hype for Ebony,’” Bullet stated.
Bullet also denied recent claims made by OgeeTheMC that he had to quit his radio and TV shows to support Ebony’s career.
According to the Rufftown Records boss, those claims are false. He noted that OgeeTheMC was not involved in the singer’s career in any official or consistent way.
“So, he was around, you know, he comes around, but it wasn’t like he is saying he was working for Ebony as he’s claiming,” Bullet said.
