Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham was among the first to congratulate his younger brother Jobe after Sunderland sealed a dramatic return to the Premier League.

The Black Cats ended their eight-year exile from the top flight with a 2-1 win over Sheffield United at Wembley.

Chris Wilder’s men lead through Tyrese Campbell’s 25th minute finish before having a second goal disallowed for offside.

The Blades looked set for promotion until Eliezer Mayenda’s thumping finish and Tom Watson‘s last-ditch strike secured victory for Sunderland.

And Jude Bellingham couldn’t contain his pride as he FaceTimed Jobe moments after the full-time whistle in scenes full of emotion and brotherly love.

The England international shared a screenshot of the video call, captioning it: ‘SO F****** PROUD’.

Jobe, who played the full 90 minutes at Wembley on Saturday, was a vital figure in Sunderland’s promotion push this season.

He featured in 43 of the club’s 46 Championship matches during the regular season, contributing four goals and three assists from midfield.

The 19-year-old was soaked to the skin in champagne after the win, having been at the heart of the dressing room celebrations.

Inside the jubilant Sunderland dressing room, Jobe was drenched in champagne as teammates sprayed bottles into the air, music blaring and shirts swinging overhead.

Amid the wild celebrations, the teenager was at the centre of it all – and at one point spotted swigging from the hollow base of a camera tripod like it was a trophy.

Speaking shortly after the final whistle, jobe told Sky Sports:  ‘I always believed, you have to believe.

‘When you’ve got supporters like this and a group of lads like that, you always have to believe.

‘I always believed and I know people doubted us and that’s understandable, we lost a few games, people talk about momentum.

‘But I think we did enough, we showed enough throughout the season for people to at least give us some credit going into the play-offs.

‘The typical ‘inexperienced’ by all the ex-pros that speak on Sky but we’ve just proved that don’t matter.

‘You need experience, of course, with youth like at Sunderland you play loads of games you get that experience.

‘You get experience by failing and we failed together so many times and in the end we come good.’
