A Nigerian man expressed his confusion about how to feel after his Black American wife bought him roses to show her appreciation for him.

The man held onto the rose and asked his wife how a Benin man like him should feel about getting a flower bouquet. She said he should act like a pretty lady.

He swiftly corrected her, pointing to his body to demonstrate that he was a male. His wife added that he ought to be grateful, as she bought the roses because he had gifted her flowers earlier.

He claimed that although it was his first time receiving a rose as a gift, he was not accustomed to receiving them and that, as a Benin guy,  she should have prepared a local delicacy for him instead.

Even though February 14th wasn’t until the following year, he was grateful she gave him Valentine’s Day flowers.

Netizens claimed that gifting men roses seems weird to Nigerian men, hence, the man was confused about his feelings.
