Peter Okoye, of P Square fame, has taken to social media to distance himself from a recent kidnapping case involving two Ghanaian women in Nigeria.

It will be recalled that during a press briefing on Friday, May 9, 2025, the Ghana Police Service disclosed that two women, Anastasia Baidoo Arthur and Evelyn Konadu, had been kidnapped Nigerians allegedly under the guise of marriage proposals.

According to the police, the suspects involved in the case include Peter Okoye (31), Paulinus Chidokwe (35), Chinoso Okafor (35), and Christian Emeka.

But in response, popular Nigerian musician, Peter Okoye, has taken to X to emphasised that he has no connection to the case.

He stated that he is not the “Peter Okoye” mentioned by the Ghana Police.

‘Mr P’ has called on the Ghana Police Service to clarify the identity of the suspect, emphasising that he is not a criminal.

“Abeg, make una dey specifically dey specify which Peter Okoye. I no be thief,” he wrote in Pidgin English.

Meanwhile, the two kidnapped women have since been rescued by the police and are currently assisting with ongoing investigations.
