Ghanaian satirist, actor, and media personality, Kwaku Sintim-Misa, popularly known as KSM, has stated that one of the biggest moments of his acting career was appearing in the popular American TV series, Law and Order.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Learning TV, KSM said that being featured on such a top-rated show in the United States was a huge accomplishment for him.
He explained that Law and Order was one of the most-watched shows on American television, and landing a role in it meant a lot to him, especially as a Ghanaian actor.
“In the US, I got some mileage in film and in acting. I acted in a very popular series called Law and Order, which I think was my biggest deal because that series was one of the highly-rated primetime shows in the US. To appear on it was a biggest deal,” he said.
Beyond sharing his experience in America, KSM also spoke about how people can identify their talents.
He believes that talent is something that comes easily to a person, something they can do without struggling or needing much effort.
“I always tell people, anything you can do that comes without effort most likely is your talent. There are people like that. You teach them computers, they just sit behind it and they know what they are doing. Whatever they do, they do it effortlessly,” he said.
KSM encouraged young people to pay attention to the things they are naturally good at.
He advised that if people find themselves doing something very well without much training or pressure, it’s likely that activity is their talent.
He also addressed a common misunderstanding people have about talents. According to him, many people think talent is only related to the creative arts, such as singing, dancing, painting, or acting.
Instead, he stressed that talent goes far beyond that.
“The other mistake that people make is that they think that talent is referred to the arts, like singing, dancing, acting, and painting. It is not true. You can be a talented mathematician, architect, or chemist because it comes to you effortlessly. Don’t limit talent to the creative arts alone. Talent is broad and everyone has a talent,” he added.
