Ghanaian actress Gifty Arthur, popularly known as Gyimidi, broke down in tears during an interview on the Uncut Show with Zionfelix as she opened up about the devastating loss of her mother.

In the chat, Gyimidi revealed that the death of her mother has left a deep scar in her heart because her mother was her everything.

Fighting back tears, she said that the love she had for her mom was the main reason she always mentioned her name during the interviews she granted.

Asked if she also supported her financiay sometimes, Gyimidi responded by saying: “Even though I don’t have much, anytime I got some money, I made sure to give my mother a good part of it. She deserved it.”

Gyimidi described her late mother as a true pillar in her life, especially throughout her acting journey.

“There were times people insulted me just because of the roles I played, but my mother always called to encourage me. She was my strength,” she recounted.

Despite the immense pain she feels, Gyimidi disclosed that what hurts her the most is the fact that she couldn’t contribute financially to her mother’s funeral.
