Twenty years after the sudden death of young, promising Ghanaian actress Suzzy Williams, a video has resurfaced online in which the late actress’s mother recounts the events leading up to her daughter’s passing.
The popular actress died in a tragic car accident in September 2005.
In the video making waves on social media as of May 5, 2025, Cecilia Williams, mother of the late actress, recalls a chilling dream she had on September 7, 2005, just a day before the fatal crash.
“I had come from the market on the 7th of September, 2005. I was in the hall and dozed off. I felt a heavy pressure on me, so I lay down on the couch and saw something like an accident. That was around 12:15 PM, so I called my husband and told him there was going to be an accident.
“He said I was being superstitious when I told him that I had seen in a dream that Suzzy had been in an accident. He didn’t believe me,” she narrated.
Cecilia Williams further recounted that shortly after the dream, Suzzy came home with her Liberian boyfriend, Edwin Eastman, in search of her birth certificate.
She explained that despite several attempts to share the contents of her dream, her daughter ignored the warnings.
“Suzzy came home earlier saying she was looking for her birth certificate. I asked her what exactly she was looking for, and she told me again it was her birth certificate.
“I asked her to sit down because I knew she wasn’t actually looking for that. She refused because she was in a hurry. She then asked her sisters to help her search.
“Since she didn’t want to listen, I told her she was actually looking for her death certificate, not her birth certificate. I said this in the presence of the young man she was with. I told her that boy wasn’t going to help her. She left in anger, and that was the last time I saw her,” she added.
Before her untimely death, Suzzy Williams had starred in several popular films, including Bloody Mary, Calamity, The Comforter, and Mother’s Heart.
