Bechem United pushed Legon Cities deeper into the relegation mire after beating the Royals at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

The Hunters also ended their six-match winless streak thanks to Darlvin Yeboah’s 73rd-minute strike.

An evenly contested first half ended in a goalless draw, as both teams failed to capitalize on their chances.

It was the hosts who started on the front foot after the break, and their persistence was rewarded with Yeboah’s goal, which proved to be the difference at full time.

The win leaves the Hunters in 8th position in the league standings with 43 points. They will face defending champions FC Samartex in their next match.

The beleaguered Royals sit in 17th position with 25 points after failing to win in eight consecutive matches. They are next in action against league-leading Nations FC.
