Interim coach of Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito, has urged his team to remain focused ahead of their clash with Hearts of Oak.

The Porcupine Warriors will face their fiercest rivals at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, May 4, as part of Matchday 30 in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Kotoko have secured four consecutive victories against the Phobian Club in all competitions.

Speaking ahead of the match, Zito emphasized the need for his team to stay focused to continue their strong run against their archrivals.

“We are going in with the mentality of winning. They [Hearts of Oak] know very well that they’ve lost to Kotoko for some time, so I think they will double their efforts,” he said.

“What we have to keep in mind is that, despite the favorable results in the last four matches, we still need to stay focused and maintain a good attitude toward our objective to secure the result,” Zito added.

The highly anticipated game is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
