The Volta Media Excellence Awards (VMEA), a premier event celebrating outstanding achievements in the media industry across Ghana’s Volta Region, has officially opened nominations for its 2025 edition. Organized by Edy’s Promotions, the awards aim to recognize and honor individuals and organizations that have demonstrated excellence in various media sectors.
Nomination Period and Categories
Nominations for the 2025 edition are open from April 25, 2025, to May 30, 2025. The awards encompass a wide range of categories, including:
– Blogger of the Year
– Blog of the Year
– Social Media Influencer of the Year
– Graphic Designer of the Year
– Cinematographer/Photographer of the Year
– DJ of the Year
– Radio Presenter of the Year (Male and Female)
– Radio Show Host of the Year (Morning, Mid-Morning, Drive Time, etc.)
– Radio Program of the Year
– Radio Station of the Year
– Emerging Media Personality of the Year
– Most Deserving Artist of the Year
– Ultimate Personality of the Year
Eligibility and Submission
Media professionals, content creators, and organizations based in or associated with the Volta Region are eligible to submit nominations. Submissions can be made via the official VMEA email: vmeagh@gmail.com. For inquiries and further information, interested parties can contact the organizers at 0245822328. The introduction of Vlogger of the year and Media Personality outside Volta Region creates room for variety as well.
Previous Editions and Impact
The VMEA has consistently highlighted the contributions of media practitioners in the Volta Region. The 5th edition, held in 2024, saw notable winners such as Harry Ahovi (Blogger of the Year), Anede Julius (Cinematographer/Photographer of the Year), and Dogah Ruben Kwesi Makafui (DJ of the Year). The event featured performances from artists like Mprez ODY and Yoo Twitch, adding to the celebration of media excellence.
The 6th edition of the Volta Media Excellence Awards promises to be another significant event in recognizing and celebrating the achievements of media professionals in the Volta Region.
