A member of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s administration has been repeatedly caught on camera allegedly vandalizing parked Tesla vehicles with his keys while out walking his dog.

Dylan Bryan Adams, 33, a fiscal policy analyst for the State of Minnesota, was captured on vehicle surveillance footage allegedly dragging a key across the exteriors of several Teslas, stripping paint and causing thousands of dollars in damage.

Authorities reportedly arrested Adams on suspicion of causing an estimated $20,000 in damage, with formal charges still pending, according to the Minnesota-based crime watch account @CrimeWatchMpls on X.

Disturbing surveillance videos showed Adams allegedly approaching the vehicles from across the street, leash in one hand, while pulling his keys from his pocket with the other.

In one clip, he allegedly carved into the rear of a Tesla.

In another, he seemingly targeted the side of the vehicle nearest the sidewalk, again using his key to scratch a deep line across the car’s body.

The specific markings or messages he allegedly etched remain unclear.

In a separate clip, Adams – seen wearing a rust-colored beanie, a dark gray sweatshirt and black vest – crossed the road before allegedly dragging his key from the driver’s side door to the rear of the vehicle, then casually walking away.

Yet another video showed him in a different outfit – this time a black winter jacket and a burgundy Minnesota Gophers hat – allegedly repeating the same act of vandalism as he walks by another Tesla with his dog.

A fourth clip, believed to have been recorded in the parking lot of Target, showed Adams exiting his vehicle while wearing a Golden State Warriors jersey over a light gray hoodie.

He then walked toward a nearby Tesla, readied his key and seemingly scratched into the paint before fleeing the scene undisturbed.

The striking footage has since sparked widespread outrage online with some social media users calling for the state employee to be ‘prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,’ with many expressing disbelief at his behavior.

‘I’m sure these crimes exceed the felony threshold for property damage. He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent,’ one user posted.

‘Ruined his government career by acting like a child,’ another wrote.

‘Lock him up for 20 years,’ a third added.

While much of the anger was directed at Adams, some users expressed concern for his dog.

‘Poor dog. I hope he has family so his dog doesn’t end up in the humane society or animal shelter somewhere. This dog doesn’t deserve that. Poor choice man. You just ruined your life and possibly the life of your dog,’ one person commented.

‘Even the dog looked at him and said “don’t.” Dogs are amazing,’ said another.

‘That dog should be removed from his home,’ added a third.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Governor Walz’s office for comment.

The shocking incident comes just after another act of brazen vandalization targeting Musk’s motor company in Walz’s state.

A Minnesota woman was caught on camera allegedly vandalizing a Tesla in front of two children.

Footage showed the woman appearing to scratch the electric vehicle in a parking lot, before marching between the cars with her son and daughter in tow.

The young boy flipped off the camera, which caught the brazen act as he walked past, followed by the little girl and the woman as they quickly vacate the scene.

People who shared the footage on X said it was filmed in Arden Hills, a small city in Ramsey County around 10 miles north-east of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, which oversees policing in the area, told the DailyMail.com on Thursday that they were investigating the footage.

‘We are aware of the video that was released on social media and looking into whether it occurred in our jurisdiction,’ spokesman Steve Linders said.

‘As of now, the owner of the vehicle has not filed a police report with us, but we encourage the person to come forward.’

Social media users erupted in anger over the clip, slamming the woman as a ‘terrible parent’ while calling for her identification.

Several people pointed out that her clothing resembled scrubs, with some speculating that she may be a local nurse.

‘What a way to set an example as a mother. So sad,’ one woman wrote, while a man said: ‘Police will catch her sooner or later.’

The incident is the latest in a series of attacks against Tesla cars across the country as a form of protest against outgoing DOGE leader Musk, 53, who owns the firm.
