Following Real Madrid’s failure to stage a comeback in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League clash, several Ghanaian celebrities have taken to social media to celebrate Arsenal’s dominant 5-1 aggregate victory.

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, Real Madrid faced off against Arsenal at the Santiago Bernabéu, where the Gunners delivered a commanding performance to seal their spot in the semi-finals.

After the match, celebrities including KiDi, Nana Aba Anamoah, and Wode Maya have shared their excitement online, thrilled that Real Madrid had been eliminated from the competition.

KiDi, in particular, took to X with a series of posts mocking Madrid’s exit, especially after fans had confidently predicted the club would advance to the next stage.

“This is the day the Lord has made! @arsenal. What a goodbye. Good morning, Arsenal fans. God is good! I said it home and away! COYG,” KiDi shared.

Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah also took to X to mock Real Madrid, stating that the club had been dwelling in past glories.

“Madrid fans dey quote history, Arsenal fans dey quote scoreline. One dey make noise, one dey go semi-final. Team foooooooooo. A Madrid fan just checked if ebi dream,” she said.

Vlogger Wode Maya who had initially anticipated that Real Madrid would stage a comeback at the Santiago Bernabéu took to social media to express disappointment in the football club.

One would recall that Arsenal had secured a 3-0 victory in the first leg against Real Madrid, but many fans believed Madrid could overturn the deficit, given their rich history in the UEFA Champions League.

Goals from Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli sealed the victory, while Vinicius Junior managed a consolation goal for Madrid.
