Nana Ahea Tutu Brempong II, Chief of Kwahu Aduamoa and Kwahu Benkumhene, has commenced the 2025 Kwahu Easter celebrations with an exciting gala at Asikam.

The tournament featured teams representing eight towns: Asikam, Mota Aduhima, Nkwakwasem, Asuoyaa, Mota Mireku, Aduhima, Suminakɛse, and Aduamoa.

The friendly competition aimed to promote togetherness and healthy involvement among adolescents and communities.

The semi-finals and grand finale are set to take place on Saturday, April 19, at the Aduamoa R.C. Park, capping off the Easter festivities in style.

During the tournament’s opening ceremony, Nana Ahea Tutu Brempong II stressed the need for togetherness and teamwork for the overall growth of both local communities and the nation.

He further took the opportunity to educate his subjects on the importance of proper land documentation, urging all landowners and prospective buyers to engage with the Aduamoa Customary Stool Lands Secretariat, which oversees all land matters within his jurisdiction.

Nana Ahea Tutu Brempong II also highlighted the critical importance of regular health check-ups, reminding everyone that good health is essential for a fulfilling and productive life.

He further advised all residents to take personal healthcare seriously in order to prevent unexpected health complications.

Nana Stephen Appiah, the Nkosuohene (Development Chief) of Kwahu Aduamoa, also addressed the gathering, stating the need for unity.

He also conveyed Nana Ahea Tutu Brempong II’s deep love and commitment to the welfare of his people, assuring them that the soccer tournament would be institutionalised as an annual event to be celebrated every Christmas.

The programme concluded with a public forum led by the District Stool Lands Officer in collaboration with the Aduamoa Customary Stool Lands Secretariat, focusing on land administration and proper documentation procedures to help residents better understand their land rights and responsibilities. –GNA
