Ghanaian gospel musician Emmanuel Jackson, popularly known as ‘GodsNation’, has shared his past experiences in fraud, money rituals, and near-deaths prior to his conversion to Christianity.

In an interview with Hitz FM on April 9, 2025, GodsNation recounted how he was introduced to Christ while battling a mysterious illness that left him hospitalized with a “rotten abdomen” and unable to walk for more than three minutes.

“The doctors did all the tests on me but couldn’t find anything. But I was dying. I told God if He healed me, I would change my ways and preach the gospel for life,” he said.

Prior to his transformation, Jackson admitted to engaging in fraudulent schemes and traveling around the country in search of wealth through occult means.

He revealed a chilling incident where a friend secretly used him for money rituals.

“There was even a time one of my friends used me for money rituals. I didn’t even know until my head started swelling up and I was rushed to the hospital. Even when the doctors tried injecting me, boils started appearing on my skin.

“It was until a prophet called my mum and they prayed for me before I was healed. When I went back to school, the person approached me and was like ‘If not for your mother, you would have been dead,” he narrated.

Despite the close call, GodsNation said he continued his desperate pursuit of money, even visiting shrines in Suhum where he and his friends were given bizarre choices including sacrificing their manhood and worshipping idols, among others.

“I remember suggesting the idol option, but my friends were scared, so we went for the sack of money option.

“We were told to get a particular oil to use but we couldn’t find it and we lost out on that opportunity,” he added.

Now a changed man, GodsNation has warned others against the dangers of greed and occultism.
