Ghanaian actress Roselyn Ngissah has taken to social media to announce the sudden passing of her mother, Elizabeth Ngissah.

In an Instagram post shared on April 7, 2025, the actress recounted her last encounter with her mother, including a moment where she requested food shortly before her unexpected demise.

Roselyn Ngissah added a heartfelt caption, reflecting on how her mother supported her through thick and thin.

She noted that her late mother, Elizabeth Ngissah, was not only a mother to her biological children but also to everyone who had crossed paths with her.

“To a dedicated educator, a mother to countless students, we pay tribute. For over forty years, you’ve nurtured, guided, and inspired generations of learners. Your unwavering patience, kindness, and generosity have made a lasting impact on the lives of your students.

“You’ve been a constant source of comfort, a listening ear, and a guiding light. Your legacy extends far beyond the classroom, as you’ve helped shape the minds and hearts of those who’ve had the privilege of being your students.

“We celebrate your selflessness, your passion for teaching, and your enduring commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. You are a true mother to many, and your influence will be felt for years to come. May you rest well mummy. RIP Mummy Elizabeth Ngissah,” she shared.

Scores of Ghanaians, including members of the entertainment industry, also took to social media to share their heartfelt condolences.

Veteran actress Irene Opare, Selassie Ibrahim, Diamond Appiah, Harold Amenyah, and others have expressed their sympathies to Roselyn during this difficult time.
