A team of armed police officers and National Security operatives on Monday, April 7, 2025, faced considerable difficulty arresting Nigerian businessman Ben Peters, who caused significant inconvenience for residents of Aurora Apartments in Kanda, located near the Jubilee House.

The operation was led by Richard Jakpa and the Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, Mustapha Gbande.

Mr Peters, along with several unidentified armed individuals, obstructed access to the apartment complex by blocking the entrance with their vehicles, making it impossible for other tenants to enter or exit the premises.

When security officers arrived at the scene to restore order, the businessman resisted arrest, leading to a scuffle.

After a prolonged struggle, Peters and his associates were eventually overpowered and taken into custody.

National Security operatives seized the vehicles involved in the incident.
