Nigerian-based Afrobeats sensation Eneez releases his newest single “Sade.” The song is an ode to his lady whom he is asking to be patient as he leaves home in pursuit of successes abroad.

Performed in the Yoruba language, Eneez tells a true tale of a man in who travels abroad seeking success. He asks his love interest to trust him and be patient so that upon his return, he will share his earnings. “This song is about a man who wants to leave his village for greener pastures, but wants his love to wait for him. In our culture, we hustle for our women and then bring our wealth home, or send for our family so they can join us to enjoy the success” Eneez said.

Although the language of the song is not English, the sentiment is unmistakable. Richard Banton from VIBE 105 FM in Toronto says “long distance relationships are very common nowadays so the release of this song is timely. Whether Nigeria, France, Canada or Australia, everyone knows someone whose love is overseas.”

“Sade” will be released on all platforms on Friday April 4th, 2025.
