Award-winning Ghanaian gospel artiste, Jocelyn Darko, popularly known as Frimpomaa, has made a startling revelation about her songwriting process, asserting that she does not sit down to compose her music but rather receives it naturally during moments of meditation.

In an exclusive interview on Journey to Heaven on No. 1 FM 105.3 with host Taller Dee, Frimpomaa disclosed that her songs are not written in a conventional manner. Instead, she experiences a divine flow of lyrics and melodies, particularly during her early morning meditation sessions at 5:00 AM.

“I don’t really write my lyrics for a song; it just comes naturally. I feel it, I imagine it together with the beat, and I pick up my phone and record it,” she revealed.

Her unconventional approach to songwriting has sparked intrigue and discussion among fans and music industry stakeholders, with many questioning whether her creative process is purely divine inspiration or a subconscious mastery of the craft.

During the conversation, Taller Dee sought to understand Frimpomaa’s expectations for her latest single, Medawase. In response, she boldly stated that she envisions the song becoming a national anthem for every Ghanaian.

“I want Medawase to be on the lips of every Ghanaian. In fact, I want the song to be played on every media platform, in every home, church, and gathering,” she declared with confidence.

Currently, Frimpomaa is on an extensive media tour promoting Medawase, which is already gaining traction on digital streaming platforms. The song, a heartfelt thanksgiving anthem, resonates deeply with listeners, further solidifying Frimpomaa’s impact on the gospel music scene.

With her unique songwriting process and deep spiritual connection, Frimpomaa continues to captivate audiences.

As Medawase spreads across the nation, she remains steadfast in her mission to use gospel music as a tool for soul-winning rather than mere commercial success.
