Ghanaian musician Criss Waddle has tackled individuals who have opposed the Mahama-led administration’s decision to scrap the controversial E-Levy and other taxes.

In a post shared on X on April 3, 2025, Criss Waddle noted that those who don’t like the decision can continue paying the taxes.

He emphasised that such individuals can pay the E-Levy as a way to express their love for the country.

“At this point those that constantly claimed they didn’t want the E-levy to be scrapped can contact the MTN office to continue paying for it out of Love,” he said.

Criss Waddle also expressed profound gratitude to the current administration for fulfilling its promise.

“This government has done its part by listening to the cry of the majority of Ghanaians,” he added.

On April 2, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama assented to a series of legislative bills meant to abolish several taxes, including the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy), Betting Tax, and Emissions Tax.
