Ghanaian artiste King Paluta has questioned the loyalty of some social media influencers who have suddenly ‘switched sides’ in their support for him in the race for the 2025 TGMA Artiste of the Year title.

In a post shared on X on April 2, 2025, King Paluta noted that another influencer who had been rallying for him to win the ‘Artiste of the Year’, is now supporting another artiste.

He questioned whether the person is now being paid to engage in propaganda.

“I’ve seen one guy who was supporting me heavily. Even last week… Every time Paluta for AOTY. Yesterday, make I go see aa, he say I no dey deserve the award again. Every Twitter influencer on the payroll already? Lol Ghana Music, wake up! (in Wendy Shay’s voice),” he stated in a mixture of Pidgin and English

King Paluta, however, mentioned that he isn’t surprised the influencer is now backing another artiste, adding that he would do the same if he were in their position.

“Bro, I’m not mad at you at all. Even me, if they bring me the money, ago take. Do your job bro,” he added.

The musician has however come under severe backlash after his tweet went viral.
