Chaotic video captured the disturbing moment a mass catfight erupted at a Texas state fair over the weekend.

The dramatic incident occurred Saturday evening at the South Texas State Fair in Beaumont – about 90 minutes outside of Houston.

Footage posted to Facebook showed a large group of what appeared to be juveniles gathered near the Ferris wheel as multiple brawls broke out.

At one point, a group of young girls were seen throwing and kicking each other to the ground while people shrieked in fear.

Officers with the Beaumont Police Department were also seen in the clip quickly responding to the incident, as one of the cops even pulled out a weapon while holding one of the fighters down on the ground. It is unclear if the weapon was a gun or a taser.

Haley Morrow with the Beaumont Police Department told DailyMail.com two arrests were made and three juveniles ‘were filed for various charges.’

‘There were two arrests made; both individuals had outstanding warrants. In addition, three juvenile cases were filed for various charges,’ Morrow said.

‘Those juveniles were released to their parents later that evening. Several others were escorted off the fairgrounds and issued criminal trespass warnings, meaning they are prohibited from returning.

At one point, an officer with the Beaumont Police Department pulled out some sort of weapon after tackling a fighter to the ground

‘Thankfully, no officers were injured during the incident .At this time, we do not have a confirmed cause for the altercation. Unfortunately, it appears that some juveniles intentionally planned to meet at the fair to fight.

The video first showed a group of young boys throwing punches at each other as a police officer stepped in and tackled one of them to the pavement.

‘Oh, the police there,’ a person, who appeared to be recording the video on a cell phone, said.

Another angle showed what appeared to be a mix of both boys and girls brawling.

A police officer then stepped in between the group and placed both his arms out in an attempt to break up the commotion, but the scene raged on.

Soon enough, another officer, with a bike helmet on his head, tackled a boy to the ground and knelt over him before drawing out some sort of weapon.

People surrounding the officer and boy quickly ran away after the officer did so.

The boy on the ground then rolled over and appeared to run off as more cops joined the scene and further fights broke out.

At one point, a group of girls were seen stomping each other and swinging their arms as blood curdling screams were heard in the background.

A group of girls, and what appeared to be an older woman, were seen pulling each other’s hair in the clip.

One girl fell to the ground, but before she could get up, another ran over to her and punched her repeatedly in the face.

The clip ended with cops still trying to get the situation under control as the group appeared to disperse.

In response to the now-viral video, Morrow said the South Texas State Fair prohibits any violent or ‘disruptive behavior.’

‘The YMBL has implemented a strict zero-tolerance policy when it comes to fighting or disruptive behavior,’ Morrow said.

‘Anyone involved in any altercation will be immediately removed from the fairgrounds and issued a criminal trespass warning.

‘Beaumont Police Department officers maintain a strong presence at the event and respond quickly to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance.’

Morrow said the department cannot comment if the officer in the clip pulled out a taser or a gun due to police procedure.

Social media users quickly reacted to the video, as one said: ‘This is so freaking sad!’

‘Why can’t they just go to the fair and have fun,’ another wrote. ‘That’s ridiculous smh,’ a commenter said.

Others applauded the police for their quick reaction to the scuffle, as one man said: ‘It is not the condition nor the way the fair is operated which has caused these problems to arise.

‘In fact the Beaumont Police department has done an incredible job responding to these events quickly and effectively along with the volunteers who are constantly on surveillance.’

The fair is currently open to the public from March 27- April 6, according to the website.

DailyMail.com contacted the South Texas State Fair for comment.
