    Two members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have gone viral following their deed in a video that was shared online.

    The Corpers were spotted in a clip shared on TikTok joyfully carrying live chickens and tubers of yam home.

    Their happiness was so evident that they proudly held up their purchases, beaming with excitement while chatting with one another.

    This comes after the federal government implemented an allowance increase for NYSC members, raising their monthly payments from N33,000 to N77,000.

    As the duo made their way home, an onlooker was heard congratulating them, seemingly charmed by their excitement.

    The video has since gained traction online, sparking mixed reactions from Nigerians.

    Below are some of the comments;

    “I just dey shame for all these Corpers making it look like 77k is a big money”

    “During my NYSC days in 2013, I was paid N19,800, 50kg bag of rice was N7,500 and a crate of egg was N300”

    “Lots of Corpers insulted Raye oh and are now enjoying the dividends of her voicing out. Pathetic!”

    “Omo alawie money don finish like this. Chicken 12K or 10K and yam 4k or 5k”
