Media personality Bridget Otoo has joined scores of Ghanaians in praising President John Dramani Mahama after Parliament scrapped the E-Levy bill.

In a post on X on March 26, 2025, Bridget Otoo commended the President, stating that he is a man of his word.

She emphasised that the President is a promise-keeper, unlike the Akufo-Addo-led administration.

“Your word is your bond, @JDMahama #E-Levy PromiseKeeper,” she wrote.

Bridget Otoo’s praise comes in response to Parliament‘s vote on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, to approve the repeal of the Electronic Levy Act, 2022 (Act 1075).

With Parliament‘s approval, the Electronic Transfer Levy (Repeal) Bill, 2025, will be forwarded for presidential assent.

Under Article 106(7) of the Constitution, President John Dramani Mahama is expected to sign the bill into law within seven days.
