Ghanaian actress and television personality Nana Ama McBrown has shared that she has no regrets about prioritizing her acting career before starting a family.

Speaking on the DivaDocLetsTalk podcast, McBrown revealed the emotional struggles she faced while trying to conceive. She admitted that seeing her colleagues become mothers while she was still childless often brought her to tears.

“While building my career, I cried because I hadn’t given birth yet. I would see my peers and wonder, ‘Will I ever have a child?’ Even after trying, it still wasn’t happening,” she recalled.

McBrown successfully conceived through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) at the age of 41.

“I was given the option of IVF or surrogacy, but I chose IVF first—even if it took five attempts. If it didn’t work, then I would consider surrogacy,” she explained.

Fortunately, her first IVF attempt was successful, and she gave birth at 41. Despite the challenges, McBrown remains confident in the choices she made.

“I have no regrets about focusing on my career before having children,” she affirmed.
