A Florida woman was arrested after she allegedly killed her dog in the Florida airport bathroom when she couldn’t board the plane with the pooch.

Alison Agatha Lawrence, 57, of Clermont, was seen inside Orlando International Airport on December 16 with her white poodle near TSA, but she was unable to board the dog as she didn’t have the proper paperwork, according to WFTV 9.

Instead of calling family or friends to come pick up the dog, Lawrence has been accused of engaging in an unthinkable act against her lovable pet.

According to authorities, Lawrence drowned her dog in the toilet in the women’s restroom near TSA, before throwing the little poodle in the trash, where a janitor later found the animal.

The airport informed Orlando Police about the deceased pet and a warrant was issued for Lawrence’s arrest.

It is unclear where Lawrence was traveling, when she returned, or why she was bringing her animal with her.

Her sister told WFTV 9 that Lawrence did not have a phone.

She was arrested on aggravated animal cruelty charges, a felony, on Tuesday at her home.

Lawrence was booked into the Lake County Jail and she bailed out on a $5,000 bond, records show.

Neighbors remember the 57-year-old having a white poodle that she used to walk around the neighborhood often, they told WFTV 9.

They hadn’t seen her or the dog as of late and were shocked to hear their neighbor would be accused of such a thing.

‘Someone that would do such things has got to be disturbed upstairs,’ a neighbor told the outlet.

Small pets are able to travel in the cabin of the aircraft with their owners and can be screened through security, according to TSA.

Animals are required to be in carriers and will be swabbed for explosives.

Each airline has their own requirements for traveling with pets onboard their aircrafts.

Most require health certificates, a carrier, and an airline reservation. Most also charge a pet fee to bring them on board.

Most airlines will allow up to two pets. Some countries do not allow pets to fly in and all dogs flying into the US need to fill out a form.
