    Raye, the Lagos corper who called the state smelly, has issued an apology to its residents and all those who were offended by her words.

    She wrote a detailed apology addressing what she had said and why she had done so. In the statement, she admitted that the way she had said it might have been wrong, but she still stood behind her words.

    The video she had made calling Lagos smelly, wasn’t done to offend Lagosians but to draw the state’s government to the less-than-ideal conditions in the state.

    She implored Lagosians to not take her words as an insult, but to hold their government accountable so that changes could be made which could improve the air quality in the state.

    She wrote;

    In the wake of her apology, many have come to her defense, saying that she was right and the air in Lagos was very poor.

    Now that she has issued an apology and spoken respectfully, many are more willing to listen to what she has to say.
